Jenna Javens currently serves as a Foursquare Associate Missionary in the country of Botswana and is originally from Portland, OR.  Jenna grew up at Beaverton Foursquare Church serving in ministry and growing in her relationship with God starting from a very young age. It was in her college years that she felt God plant in her heart the seeds of missions and ministry specifically on the continent of Africa.

After graduating from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and her K-8 teaching credential, she moved to rural South Africa to serve for two years as a 5th grade missionary teacher to children of the Xhosa tribe. She became captivated by the South African people, delighted in their simplicity of life and grew in compassion for the struggles that their continent faces.

Having served the Lord in South Africa for two and a half years, Jenna continued to feel the Lord stirring in her heart a burden and passion for the people on the continent of Africa. After moving to Bend, OR and starting to serve in youth ministry at Westside Church in 2008, God opened doors for Jenna to become licensed as a Foursquare minister and return equipped and supported to the mission field of Botswana. Her role in the Foursquare ministry of Botswana is to serve as the youth pastor for the Mochudi Foursquare Church as well oversee the Next Generation (Kids through College) ministry through intercessory prayer, teaching HIV/AIDS purity education in schools, discipleship of young women, evangelism, and outreach.
